Uschi’s story

The purchase of two yoga books at the age of seventeen set me on a life long quest for wholeness and wisdom. It was the holistic approach to life that drew me to the ancient teachings of yoga. I came to understand that while I might not always be able to change my outer circumstances, I am able to take charge of the way I respond to situations. This was a very empowering discovery for me as a young person.

I also learned that I can influence my mental and emotional wellbeing by working with my body, and help my body by working with my mind. Classic yoga has been my path ever since - personally, spiritually and professionally.

Apart from my deep involvement with yoga, I hold a BA in Educational Psychology, studied nutritional sciences, mindset coaching, natural birth education, orthobionomy, myofascial massage and various other healing modalities. I moved to NZ from Germany at the young age of 24, became mother, had two homebirths, single parented, founded and ran Vishuddhi Yoga and Meditation Centre for 12 years and recently started my new venture Kind Living here in Dunedin.

I believe that, after all is said and done, what we really want is to be free to live the life that is right for us. I therefore spend my time helping people like you get their energy and spark back to do just that.

It is exciting for me to think that my work will help you change your life in a way you might never have thought possible.
